Kelly S. Kylis
Ms. Kylis is an associate with the firm. She practices in the area of general civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kylis completed a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr., of the Court of Appeals of Maryland. As a clerk for Judge Greene, Ms. Kylis assisted with a variety of civil and criminal cases. Her clerkship with the highest court of the state has provided Ms. Kylis valuable insight into judicial reasoning and the judicial process in Maryland. Ms. Kylis’s passion for the law began well before attending law school when she worked as a legal assistant for a trial lawyer in Prince George’s County, Maryland, where she assisted with a wide variety of civil litigation matters.
Ms. Kylis graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park (B.A. 2009), where she won first prize in the English Department’s Professional Writing Contest and served as a director of the equestrian club. She graduated cum laude from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law (J.D. 2013). While in law school, Ms. Kylis served as an associate editor of the Catholic University Law Review. The Law Reviewpublished a case note authored by Ms. Kylis on the topic of venue in public securities litigation. In addition to her service on the Law Review, Ms. Kylis participated in moot court and competed in the Philip C. Jessup Cup International Law Moot Court Competition. Ms. Kylis also served as a teaching assistant for a first year legal writing course.
