Kevin J. Curtis
Kevin’s practice focuses primarily in criminal defense, complex civil litigation, and professional negligence.
Awards/Honors: Kevin has been named one of Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Washington State by the National Trial Lawyers. He is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell, has been consistently named a SuperLawyer™ by Washington Law & Politics Magazine and one of Spokane’s Top Lawyers by Spokane/Coeur D’Alene Magazine. Kevin has consistently received AVVO’s top rating.
Criminal Practice: Kevin’s 34 years of criminal defense experience includes some of Spokane’s highest profile cases, including the successful defenses of Joseph Andrews in a double homicide death penalty case; Wallace Jones, Spokane’s first “mercy killing” case; the Valley View fire; the 8 Trey Crips indictments; WSU professor assault and many others. Kevin is the former President of both the Washington Defenders Association and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Background: A firm principal since 1997, Kevin joined Winston & Cashatt in 1996. Prior to this he was at Spokane County where he was a Senior Attorney.
