Since 2004, Ms. Troutman has concentrated on welfare benefits, assisting clients daily with all aspects of their group health, disability, life insurance and other welfare plans, including compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and Medicare. From the date of its enactment, Ms. Troutman has worked with the requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (also known as “health care reform”) as applied to employer-sponsored group health plans. Ms. Troutman also has extensive experience in planning and preparing efficient, compliant welfare plan documents and accurate, user-friendly summary plan descriptions, employee notices and other communications. Her welfare practice also includes advice on Form 5500 filing requirements and preparation of delinquent filer voluntary compliance program (DFVCP) submissions
