Louren Oliveros is a board certified civil trial lawyer and a member of the National Board of Trial Advocacy (ABA accredited). She holds the rank of an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and she holds the highest rating for legal and ethical excellence by Martindale-Hubbell, AV Preeminent. Louren also graduated from the prestigious Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. She was recently honored to accept an appointment to serve on the New Mexico Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Committee (2015) and she served on the New Mexico Supreme Court Rules of Evidence Committee (2014/2015). Louren is a member of the American Association for Justice, ABA Women Rainmakers Committee, New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Louren is known to take on tough cases and fight for her clients. She has taken over 20 cases to trial before juries in criminal and civil courts in her 14 years of practice and she has aggressively litigated numerous bench trials and hundreds of contested matters.Louren's promise to her clients is that she will do everything in her power to bring them justice. Her record shows her success in carrying out that promise. Louren has successfully represented clients accused of felonies, including first degree murder, criminal sexual penetration, and crimes of violence and dishonesty. In the civil realm, Louren's experience includes civil rights, torts, contracts, gender and race discrimination, wrongful termination, police misconduct, personal injury, catastrophic injury and trauma, wrongful death and medical malpractice.
Louren is a leader in the legal community and she uses her strong voice to advocate for the advancement of women in the law. Louren is one of nine NBTA board certified civil trial laywers in the state of New Mexico and one of four in the state of Oregon. Louren is the first and only female board certified civil trial advocate in New Mexico and Oregon. She is the past President of the New Mexico Women's Bar Association and she has served on the New Mexico Women's Bar Association Board of Directors for several years. In line with her deep commitment to stand up for women's rights, Louren also serves on the advisory board of an innovative program designed to provide legal resources to women in need in the State of New Mexico entitled One Woman, One Case, Once a Year.
