Lynn Lewis Tavenner
Lynn has also represented entities in out-of-court reorganizations and liquidations. Lynn is a Chapter 11 trustee as well as litigation trustee in cases filed in the Eastern District of Virginia. In addition, since 1997, she has served as a member of the Chapter 7 panel of trustee in Richmond, Virginia. She has also served as a corporate receiver in matters pending in the Virginia circuit court system. Lynn previously served two three-year terms as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Bankruptcy Institute, where she continues to serve in various capacities, including a faculty member for the Institute's Bankruptcy Litigation Program and the 4th Circuit Council Member for Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE) program.
Before entering private practice, Lynn served as a bankruptcy law clerk to the Honorable Douglas O. Tice Jr. in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Virginia.
She is a regular speaker at continuing legal education seminars for local and state bar associations and business organizations.
