Marisa R. Schollaert
Marisa is a member of the Insurance Defense, Insurance Coverage and Subrogation practice groups, and she works primarily in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, motor vehicle torts, premises liability, personal injury, products liability, professional liability and employment law. Marisa has handled or assisted in the handling of numerous cases for individual, institutional and commercial clients, including jury and bench trials, administrative hearings, arbitrations, and appeals in the State and Federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is a member of several professional associations, is active in the bar associations for the jurisdictions in which she is licensed, and is committed to public service, including her prior education and work as a counselor for adults with mental disabilities.
Marisa was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1977 and attended high school at the Institute of Notre Dame. She attended Mount Saint Mary's College and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology in 1999. After college, Marisa spent two years working as a counselor for adults with mental disabilities in a group home setting. During that time she attended Western Maryland College and obtained a Master’s Degree in Human Service Management and Special Education, graduating with honors.
