Mark D. Haas has over 30 years of trial and personal injury experience. In 1991 he was Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is a founding member of the Huntsville/Conroe/The Woodlands chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). His personal injury practice has included cases involving trucking and car wrecks, motorcycle accidents, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, defective and unreasonably dangerous cars and other products, swimming pool drownings, healthcare negligence and medical malpractice, construction and workplace accidents, electrocution, explosion and fire, dangerous drugs and foods, and premises liablity. In other civil matters Mr. Haas has handled cases that involve business and consumer disputes, Deceptive Trade Practices, Fraud, Libel and slander, builder negligence and shoddy workmanship, flooding, water damage and mold contamination, and insurance bad faith and failure to pay.
Mr. Haas graduated from Houston Baptist University with a B.A. and received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1984, where he was a member of the national winning Moot Court team and the Order of the Barristers.
Mr. Haas was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1984, moving to Conroe to join with HOPE & MAYES, P.C. as an associate under Ruben Hope and K.Michael Mayes (now District Judge of the 410th District Court, Montgomery County, Texas). In 1987 Mr. Haas associated with Judge Mayes, and later Mayes & Haas was formed, dissolving in 1996 when K. Michael Mayes was elected as judge. Mr. Haas and Scott Golemon, formed Haas & Golemon, LLP. In 2011, Mr. Haas formed the new firm The Law Offices of Mark D. Haas, now the HAAS LAW FIRM.
Mr. Haas is licensed to practice in Texas, and is also licensed to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Mark Haas is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, American Association of Justice, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Christian Trial Lawyers Assoiciation, The College of the State Bar of Texas and American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Haas is an active member of the Montgomery County Bar Association and former President.
Mr. Haas has also served as a School Board Officer of Covenant Christian School from 2005-2008, and is a former President. He and his family are serving members of West Conroe Baptist Church. He is married to Marga, and has two children, Paige and J aron. Mr. Haas enjoys outdoor recreation with his family such as boating, camping and hiking, and enjoys competing in running, bicycling and triathlon events.
