Mary M. Drake
Mary M. Drake (“Molly”) joined Lightfoot as an attorney in 2014, but she is no stranger to the firm. After graduating from Washington and Lee University in 2006, Molly spent three years at Lightfoot as a paralegal assistant. That experience inspired Molly to apply to law school, and she began attending Florida State University College of Law in her hometown of Tallahassee, Florida, in 2009.
At Florida State, Molly excelled. She made the Dean’s List every semester and finished first in her class, summa cum laude. She earned the top grade in multiple classes, including Legal Writing, Insurance Law, Torts, and Florida Civil Practice. She was an editor of the Florida State Law Review, earning awards for Outstanding Subciter and Outstanding Editor of the Year. And she was an involved member and officer of the moot court team—a role that she began by qualifying for the Florida State Law Final Four Competition, an oral argument before the Supreme Court of Florida. Molly and her moot court partner also won Best Brief in the Craven Moot Court Competition at the University of North Carolina during her third year of law school.
