Fresh out of Middlebury College, Michael’s first job was as a litigation paralegal at a reputable insurance defense firm in Boston, Massachusetts. His first task was typical for a paralegal: to review thousands of pages of medical records for a new personal injury case. Supervising lawyers had told him that there was “nothing unusual” in the reams of paper. After days of careful examination however Michael found a critical detail that was overlooked by everyone else and proved that the other party was largely at fault for the accident. As a result of his find, what was initially a seven-figure lawsuit was quickly settled for far less.It is with this attention to detail and thoroughness that Michael handles his practice. While in law school Michael worked as a law clerk for the South Royalton Legal Clinic, advocating for abused children and disabled individuals. Where others would give up on a case, Michael was persistent.
