Michael E. Mayo
Michael Mayo is an associate in the firm’s litigation section. He maintains a general litigation practice including complex business matters, insurance defense, personal injury, and property disputes. In 2006, Michael graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. During that time, he served as Chief Justice of the Mercer Honor Council, Class Senator, and President of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Fraternity. Michael later received the George W. Woodruff Scholarship, the top scholarship offered by Mercer's Walter F. George School of Law. He also received the prestigious Jesse Mercer Scholarship.
While attending law school, Michael was recognized for the Dean's List and advanced in the Lawson Oral Argument Competition. He received his Juris Doctor in 2009. Michael is a member of the Macon Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. He annually serves as a judge for the Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition.
