Michael McQuaide, Esq. is a member of the BI Team in the Fort Lauderdale office. He practices in General Liability, Automobile Liability, Premises Liability, Bad Faith, Medical Malpractice, Maritime, Coverage, and SIU/ Insurance Fraud. Michael is a trial attorney who began his career prosecuting felony, juvenile, and misdemeanor cases at the MiamiDade State Attorney’s Office. His last assignment was to the Insurance Fraud Division of the Organized Crime Unit where he handled highly complex cases involving multiple defendants. Michael gained extensive experience as a trial attorney for a major insurance carrier handling both first and third party cases involving automobile accidents and premises liability. He was selected as the 2011 Florida Trial Master by the carrier based upon the number of cases tried and the results obtained. Michael has tried dozens of cases to verdict. He also handles major case, large loss, fraud investigations both presuit and insuit. He is a frequent presenter and author on personal injury defense and insurance fraud. He is a certified instructor in Adjuster Law and Policy by the Florida Department of Financial Services, Bureau of Licensing. Michael received his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University (2003) and obtained his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law (2006). He is admitted in Florida (2007).
