Peter is a partner in the Albuquerque offices of Rothstein, Donatelli, Hughes, Dahlstrom, Schoenburg & Bienvenu, L.L.P., and has been in private practice since 1993. He specializes in complex criminal defense work in both federal and state courts.
Peter has successfully represented persons charged with a wide variety of white-collar criminal offenses involving healthcare, tax fraud, environmental defenses, National Lab security allegations, bank fraud, political corruption, child pornography, mail fraud, illegal trading in sacred tribal objects (NAGPRA and ARPA), and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations. He also regularly defends persons prosecuted for artistic work or religious activities protected under the First Amendment (see the Rendleman, Gonzales and Boyll cases listed in the Representative Cases section of this profile).
