Richard G. Matson
Richard (Dick) represents businesses, professionals, and individuals in a wide array of litigation and pre-litigation matters including business disputes, construction claims, product claims, and professional liability disputes. He regularly defends employers in claims involving workplace discrimination, wage violations, and wrongful terminations. He also represents employers and employees in enforcing noncompetition covenants.
Dick has significant trial experience in State and Federal Courts throughout Washington and Oregon. He has represented clients in administrative agency proceedings in both states and has represented clients and served as an arbitrator in private and court-annexed arbitrations.
Dick joined Landerholm as Of Counsel in late 2013, after 24 years with Bullivant Houser Bailey, PC. During his time at Bullivant Houser Bailey, PC, Dick managed a busy litigation and alternative dispute resolution practice and served at times on the firm’s board of directors and as managing shareholder of the firm’s Vancouver, Washington office. He also served a term as chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, which at the time consisted of more than 40 litigation attorneys in six offices in four states.
