Bob is a partner in the Banking, Finance and Restructuring Team concentrating on commercial and real estate finance, loan workouts, debt restructurings and bankruptcy reorganizations, sales, acquisitions and liquidations. He represents banks and non-institutional lenders, bankruptcy debtors, creditors' committees, landlords and debt purchasers. Bob has served as an adjunct professor at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School teaching real estate law and bankruptcy reorganization courses. He also served as an adjunct professor for the Masters of Science in Taxation program at Grand Valley State University, having taught courses on estate and gift taxation, estate planning and partnership taxation. Bob is a frequent lecturer before business and professional groups on a variety of topics, including commercial and asset based loan documentation, construction lien law, leveraged buy outs, and loan workouts and bankruptcy.
