Roland L. Rillos is an attorney in Phoenix, Arizona who has experience fighting misdemeanor and felony charges. While in law school Roland was a member of the Moot Court team and participated in the University of San Diego Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition. While preparing his presentation for the criminal procedure competition Roland discovered a love for criminal defense. After graduating from law school Roland took a position as a private criminal defense attorney with a large Phoenix firm. As an associate attorney he handled a wide variety of cases all over the valley. He has conducted both bench and jury trials. He has represented juvenile clients who were charged with serious felony offenses, and clients in the Maricopa County Superior Court, and he is licensed to practice in all jurisdictions of Arizona. In every case Roland works hard to provide his clients with excellent representation. He has successfully argued Motions to Suppress preventing illegally obtained evidence from being presented at trial. Roland has also made successful arguments against illegal searches and seizures, coercion, statute of limitations, Rule 8 time violations, and Miranda violations to name a few. At trial Roland is a fierce litigator. He enjoys preparing his client's cases for trail and every aspect of presenting a client’s case to a jury. Roland takes every opportunity to show where the state and the police officers got it wrong. He attacks the State’s evidence and shows the jury reasonable doubt. His efforts in trial have earned many clients not guilty verdicts. Roland strongly believes that everyone charged with a crime deserves a defense. He takes pride in aggressively representing his clients interests and producing an outcome they are happy with.
