Roland Tague

Roland joined the Firm in 2006 with a background in real estate, estate planning, probate, civil litigation, zoning, structured settlement transactions and historic preservation. Roland's current practice includes those same areas. Early in his career he was an assistant municipal counselor for The City of Oklahoma City, working primarily on land use issues. He has been in private practice since 1972.

He has been admitted to practice in the Oklahoma Supreme Court and all Oklahoma District Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. Roland is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association where he was twice elected a delegate. As a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, he was selected Outstanding Young Lawyer in 1972. In addition, he was twice elected a Director and served as Chairman of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee from 1996 to 1999. As a member of the Professional Economics Committee, he was instrumental in creating Oklahoma’s first college degree program to educate paralegal students. In 1977, when the University of Oklahoma College of Law decided to begin its Legal Assistants Program he was appointed to the first Advisory Committee and continues to serve in that role. Roland taught paralegal studies at the University of Oklahoma and Rose State University for many years. Roland is also a member, as well as past president, of the Oklahoma City Real Property Lawyers Association. In 2004, Roland was appointed by the Oklahoma City Mayor to the Oklahoma City Historic Preservation Commission and was elected in 2008 to serve as Chairman. He has also served as a mentor in the Oklahoma City Public Schools.
