Ron Kaniuk is an experienced transactional lawyer and litigator who works in the Firm’s Financial Services, Complex Litigation and Business Transactional Departments. He was born and raised in the New York metropolitan area, and went to college at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, majoring in history and political science and enduring some bad sports teams and cold winters. Thereafter, he received both his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and Master of Laws ( LL.M.) in Bankruptcy degrees from St. John’s University School of Law. He began his career as a Law Clerk to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Marvin A. Holland, and practiced with several prominent New York firms before relocating to Florida on a full-time basis in 2007.
His recent legal work experience includes being the Founding Member and Co-Managing Partner of a state-wide firm focusing on commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditor's rights, and homeowners and community associations representations, handling both transactional and collection matters. He has been a featured speaker at programs and events throughout South Florida on topics related to the foreclosure crisis, homeowners associations and bankruptcy. Mr. Kaniuk is admitted to practice in the States of Florida, New York and New Jersey, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
