Shannon R. Wilson
Shannon R. Wilson is an associate of the Firm’s litigation department, practicing primarily in insurance defense, commercial litigation, and family law. Administrative law is another area in which Shannon practices as part of the Firm’s Healthcare Professionals Advocacy Group.
Originally from Maine, Shannon graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Prior to attending law school, she worked for a regional, commercial insurance underwriter. In 2005, Shannon received her Juris Doctorate degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, graduating magna cum laude.
During law school, Shannon published her note, Sustainable Aquaculture: An Organizing Solution in International Law, in the spring 2004 edition of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and the following year, became Editor-in-Chief of the publication. Shannon served as a judicial-extern to the Honorable Roger T. Benitez of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She also served as a volunteer in the Las Vegas Juvenile Public Defender’s office, sat on the executive committee of the Environmental Law Society, and received the National Association of Women Lawyers Recognition Award.
