Stanley P. Klein became Senior Counsel at Blankingship & Keith, P.C. in September, 2011 after serving almost 18 years as a judge of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. During his tenure on the bench, he served on the Judicial Conference of Virginia’s Executive Committee, Probation and Parole Committee, and Rules Advisory Committee. Before his full-time appointment to the bench, Mr. Klein had a broad-based practice in both civil and criminal law from 1975 to 1992. He was a Substitute Judge in the District Courts from 1983 to 1992 and also served as a Commissioner in Chancery for the Fairfax County Circuit Court for approximately 10 years. Mr. Klein is presently an Adjunct Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law and also has been at the Washington College of Law at American University. He has been teaching Virginia judges at their New Judge Orientation Program since 2006 and has lectured on various topics at dozens of legal seminars in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
