Steven J. Markowitz received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan with distinction in 2009. He graduated cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2012 with a concentration in International Law. During law school, he received the Witkin award in his Trial Advocacy class, along with notable grades in his Civil Procedure, Evidence, Criminal Procedure, and Remedies classes. During this time he also studied in the Netherlands at Leiden University, taking classes in European Union Law and European Labor Law. Prior to joining Jampol Zimet, Steven worked as an international consultant ensuring that the benefits provided by multinational companies to their foreign employees were both compliant with foreign law and competitive with other similarly situated companies. He also worked with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office as a Certified Law Student, successfully researching, writing, and arguing a wide variety of criminal matters. Steven focuses his attention on Employment Law, Professional Liability, and Insurance Law.
