Tim Richard was born and raised on his family’s farm near Fargo, North Dakota. He received a B.S. in Economics from North Dakota State University in 1992 and then went on to obtain his J.D. from the University of North Dakota in 1997. In law school, he was a member of the Board of Editors for the North Dakota Law Review and received a Best Oralist Award at the Pace University Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. Mr. Richard served as law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen K. Klein in Fargo from 1997–1999. He joined the firm in 1999. His practice areas include business law, estate planning, probate, and real estate.
