Tracy E. Phillips
Tracy was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1984. Her family lived in Connecticut, Virginia, Colorado, and Florida before settling in Potomac, Maryland. She attended The Potomac School in McLean, Virginia, and completed her undergraduate studies at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Upon graduating from Dickinson, Tracy returned to the DC area, where she worked as a litigation paralegal for three years at two large law firms in downtown DC. In 2009, she began law school at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. She was a member of the Catholic University Law Review and graduated Cum Laude in 2012. During law school, Tracy interned for the Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County, a victim’s advocacy non-profit, and the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office. While interning for the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, she had the unique opportunity to be a Rule 16 student prosecutor, and argued motions and tried cases in the District Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.
