Van T. Everett
Van joined Whitfield & Eddy, P.L.C. as an associate in fall of 2012. He is active in the firm’s family law practice group, representing clients in a variety of disputes including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, contempt, and modifications. As a member of the firm’s general civil litigation practice group, he represents individual and corporate clients in a variety of areas including insurance law, personal injury, products liability, labor and employment disputes, and general commercial disputes. He provides pro bono work to the Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project, and has been recognized for service.
He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. During law school, he was a member of the Executive Board on both the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy programs. As a National Team member, both programs placed in the top five in the United States.
