Veronica C. Gonzales-Zamora
Veronica Gonzales-Zamora loves the intellectual aspects of the law: the behind-the-scenes researching and “hunting for something useful”. She joined David Walther Law because the firm handles complex domestic relations cases and appeals, and representation in a guardian ad litem capacity. Without a lot of case law in New Mexico, domestic issues are often unsettled areas of law. Handling them requires rigorous investigative skills, as well as the creativity to adapt and mold the findings to actually affect the law in a positive way. And that’s exactly what Veronica became a lawyer to do. Veronica’s law clerking experiences whetted her appetite for interesting case law. During law school, she worked at the Children’s Law Center on cases dealing with abuse, neglect and parental rights. These weighty concerns helped Gonzales-Zamora develop a deep appreciation of how the law impacts people’s lives.
