Bill’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of claims involving catastrophic losses. He has been a member of Catastrophic Loss Panel Counsel for several insurance clients for nearly 20 years, and in that capacity has handled hundreds of losses involving fires, train derailments, natural gas explosions, highway construction zone accidents, shale gas extraction ("fracking") accidents, construction defect, product liability, medical/legal negligence, tractor-trailer accidents and many others. Bill prides himself on being available and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve as a "first responder" to accident scenes and to coordinate investigations with retained engineers and public officials.Over Bill’s 25-year career, he has tried numerous cases to verdict with stellar results. However, some of his most rewarding work involves hands-on proactive fact-gathering and cooperation with adverse parties early in the life of claims to reach timely and cost-effective resolutions. Clients appreciate his tenacity, frankness and calm demeanor through all phases of the claims/litigation process, and the fact that he is always looking for the means to get them to the most efficient "end game". He truly makes his clients' concerns his own and excels at seeing the process through their eyes so that he can be their most effective advocate.
