William J. Searfoorce, Jr.
Bill Searfoorce is an Equity Shareholder who joined Montgomery Little & Soran in August 2000. His practice emphasizes construction litigation and professional liability defense.
Mr. Searfoorce represents design professionals who provide services to the construction industry, including architects, engineers and land surveyors. His cases involve a variety of construction projects, such as residential, commercial, public works and mixed use. He also represents owners, developers, contractors and subcontractors, and understands their unique perspectives in the building process. As a natural outgrowth of this work, clients frequently ask him to draft and revise service agreements and construction contracts.
Mr. Searfoorce came to the firm after serving 4½ years as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, where he was responsible for prosecuting the city's major crimes. Through daily appearances in court, he tried hundreds of misdemeanor and felony judge trials and 20 felony jury trials. In 1999, he coordinated a grand jury investigation and prosecution of a large multi-state burglary ring, coordinating his efforts with federal agencies.
