Mr. Cussen's practice is concentrated primarily in the field of civil litigation. He specializes in personal injury, negligence, insurance law, consumer law and product liability. Mr. Cussen attended Wheeling College and graduated from Xavier University in 1965. He then graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1969 with a J.D. degree. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1969 and to the Kentucky Bar in 2005. He served as law clerk to the Hon. Louis J. Schneider Sr. of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Cussen is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Courts of the Southern District of Ohio and Eastern District of Kentucky. Mr. Cussen is a member of the Ohio, Kentucky and Cincinnati Bar Associations. He is also a member of The American Board of Trial Advocates, The Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute. He has served on the Board of Advisers of Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Mr. Cussen has served as a mediator and arbitrator in all types of civil litigation.
